Members
Member Organisations
All members of the AH&MRC must be incorporated not-for-profit organisations, elected and governed by a local Aboriginal community membership.
Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHSs), also known as Aboriginal Medical Services (AMS), provide culturally appropriate primary health care and health services to the communities they service. For more information about how ACCHSs deliver health service to Aboriginal communities, refer to the AH&MRC Monograph, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Health Care Services to Aboriginal Communities.
Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Committees (ACCHCs) are incorporated organisations with the objective of establishing a local Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service. Aboriginal Community Controlled Aboriginal Health Related Services (ACCHRS) provide specialist health services in keeping with the Aboriginal holistic definition of health and work closely with adjacent ACCHSs..
